Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Nuggits collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Nuggits is in a private, invite-only alpha, and this policy will evolve as the service grows.
Who we are
Nuggits is a social to-do app for experiences — a place to track the movies, shows, books, and games you mean to get to, and to share recommendations with people you know. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@nuggits.net.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, and a record of who invited you (Nuggits is invite-only, and every account is linked to its inviter).
- Content you create — the items in your queue, your notes, your reactions, the recommendations you send and receive, and the invitations you issue.
- Usage and diagnostics — basic telemetry such as log and error data, and approximate activity timing, which we use to keep the service running and to fix problems.
How we use your information
- To provide the core features — your queue, recommendations, and the social connections between members.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, and to diagnose and fix problems.
- To send you service-related messages, such as email confirmations, invitations, and recommendation notifications (you can turn recommendation emails off in your settings).
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Nuggits, and only as needed to operate the service:
- Microsoft Azure — hosting and infrastructure.
- SendGrid — sending transactional email.
- Anthropic — powering the AI "capture" feature that turns what you type into a catalog match. Text you enter for capture is processed to produce that result.
Catalog details (titles, cover art, descriptions) come from third-party sources — The Movie Database (TMDB), BoardGameGeek, and Google Books — and are shown under those providers' terms. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our members.
SMS and text messaging
Nuggits does not send text messages today. If we introduce SMS notifications in the future, they will be strictly consent-based — you would opt in, and the following commitments apply:
- Your mobile number and your SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
- Message frequency is limited — no more than a few messages per week.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
Cookies
Nuggits uses only essential cookies — chiefly the authentication cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account; when you do, your personal content is removed. Because Nuggits is invite-only and records who invited whom, a minimal, anonymized record may be retained to preserve the integrity of the invitation tree — it no longer identifies you.
Children
Nuggits is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify members.
